As I wrote in a previous entry, the PTG – Geneteka indexation database is most useful for central and south-eastern Poland.
This mainly concerns the areas of the Kingdom of Poland under Russian rule and the Austrian partition.
However, for these areas it is worth using databases dealing with a specific region or voivodeship.

At this page provided by the Society of Lubelskie Korzenie you can find books from the Lublin Voivodeship.
You can search in two ways:
1) by towns, the alphabetical list of which is on the left side of the screen.
After clicking on the name, the names of the parishes located here appear in light blue.
The next click redirects you to indexed resources grouped by 10 years. If you click on the selected year range, a list of indexed entries will expand.
There is usually a link to the scan, so you can also download the original recording.

Below the list of Lublin parishes, there are also indexes from nearby ones. The surrounding counties located around the Lublin Voivodeship are listed. In the drop-down list, there are parishes located in their area. Parishes located outside Poland are listed even below. Most of them are located in Ukraine and some from as distant as Mogilev, Tiraspol and even China

At the bottom of the home page there is also a list of parishes.
In the table, after the name of the place, there is a summons and then information about the place where the books are stored. The lack of an entry means that the books are kept in the parish. Clicking on the active name of the place redirects you to the indexed resource grouped by year.
2) You can search by surname in the middle of the home page.
There are three search variants: match the beginning of the word (of surname), exactly searching, and also search in the middle of the word.

It is not very intuitive, so it is better to enter different variants of the surname you are looking for. Be careful not to leave a space after entering it – the search engine will not work then. Sometimes the website “remembers” the space you entered, so you need to delete the history from your browser and start over.
The portal is run only in Polish, so I think the screens will be useful, because this is a very rich database.
